Happenings today:

#1) Today was the first time I've put a saddle on Cowboy. Since its still rather new to him (and its been awhile since he had to wear one) I gave him some time to get used to it again while we were playing some ground games.

#2) I picked up my energy playing ground games!!! Wahoo! If I do say so myself I did so good today! ha ha. I feel like I'm getting better at communicating more clearly and Cowboy is decently happier (and more excited) with me. I learned that he really doesn't like being asked to go faster than a lope. It's the first time he's ever kicked out and been dominant in some form. It took us awhile but we got to the point where I could ask him to lope and he would give me a controlled lope. Making progress...

#3) Played the passenger game for awhile. It was good to just let him go and see what he wanted to do and where he wanted to go. He is pretty laid back, but he had a little spunk there for awhile.

#4) We did work for a few minutes on the porcupine game from on top of him. And we also worked on the driving game from on top of him. He is very responsive to pressure and energy. It makes it really fun to ride him. :)

I'll admit... I love this little horse.
